Services to target a safer workplace

WITH services that target safer workplaces, both physical and psychologically, The Rehabilitation Specialists is an award-winning rehabilitation provider that delivers a range of injury management services; workplace solutions; and specialist assessment, intervention and training services for both small and large businesses.

“At TRS we believe that our service offerings matter of broader community because the health benefits of work have been well documented, and we assist individuals to return to health and return to work,” says Fiona Fonti, managing director of TRS.

“Individuals being away from work or not functioning at their optimal level is expensive. Cost relate to wages, lost program productivity and expertise, and along with this, the personal cost in individuals losing confidence and further self-worth.”

Throughout National safe Work Month, TRS will be offering services including a fixed-rate pricing model for a range of workstation assessment options, which will be in place until December 31.

It will also be promoting the use of Dragon Voice Activated software as a way to prevent overuse injuries in individuals working in roles that are largely computer-based.

“TRS is available to deliver training in this software and also offer discounted software and headset packages and purchased in combination with training,” Fiona says.

Two education sections, in collaboration with John Littleton, a clinical psychologist, will be held on October 13. One will cover “resilient People and Workplaces” and second, “Strategies for successfully managing mental illness in the workplace”.

All TRS won the 2016 Telstra Small cap business of the Year, ACC and Fiona was recently awarded the Canberra Women in Business Young Business Woman of the Year 2016.

“We pride ourselves on delivering high quality, outcome-driven and tailored services to meet the complex and varied needs of our clients,” Fiona says.

“We’re passionate about helping people to return to health and return to work, and enjoy finding solutions to address evolving issues in the market place and being able to effectively deliver these solutions to our customers.”
