Probably one of the most difficult things to do is performance manage (PM) someone who has either disclosed a mental illness in the PM meeting or is known to have a mental illness. Yet it is possible, find out how to engage, support and manage them through the process to achieve appropriate performance without the risk of doing harm or having them submit a Worker’s Compensation Claim.

About the Trainer:

John Littleton is an organisational psychologist with a Graduate Diploma of Applied Psychology, and a Bachelor of Psychology and Sociology. Throughout his career John has successfully treated patients suffering depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain, occupational stress, low self-esteem, bipolar disorder, trauma, grief and loss and anger management, through a combination of Cognitive Behavioural and Acceptance Commitment Therapies, and is proficient in performing psychometric assessments.

John has worked for over 12 years as an organisational psychologist, providing fitness for duty and psychological capacity assessments for insurance companies and employers in the public and private sector.  John is also an experienced public speaker and is passionate about sharing his experience and knowledge with others.

The Rehabilitation Specialists are excited to be able to collaborate with John to deliver a series of workshops in Canberra on a range of topics that would be applicable to case managers, employers, insurers and other health professionals.
