Emily Peelgrane – Director of Clinical Services and Innovation
B.App.Sc. (Occupational Therapy)

Emily has almost 25 years experience as an Occupational Therapist.  She has worked across Australia, the USA, UK and Costa Rica. Emily has worked in management, education and research as well as clinical leadership. She is a self confessed pain nerd but her areas of clinical interest and speciality are in neurology, complex and chronic care, research, adult education and interoception as well as the use of sensory strategies for different health conditions and disabilities. She is currently participating in research looking at the cultural appropriateness of self management advice for Indigenous Australians.

Emily is passionate about high quality, evidenced based and patient centered services for people experiencing disability. She is also interested in chronic health conditions and preventative health as well as self management. She has presented at the Australian Pain Society Conference, San Diego Pain summit, CHARM and allied health symposiums and well has having been nominated and won awards for excellence in education and leadership.

Emily is the Director of Clinical Services and Innovation at The Rehabilitation Specialists, her role includes providing senior consultation for complex cases, as well as supervision, support and education to the NDIS team. She is also involved in innovative solutions in different areas of the business including ideas to improve the clinical outcomes for clients and university student programs so that The Rehabilitation Specialists can support the next generation of health professionals.
