Volunteering

As Rehabilitation Consultants we assist injured employees return to work in a safe and sustainable manner. We work with a range injured employees with varying physical and psychological considerations and at various stages in their return to work. Some of our employees have very limited work capacities and it is part of our role to work with the employee, their treating medical practitioners and employer in order to increase their work capacity.

Volunteering a great way that employees with limited to no work capacity can engage in meaningful activities that mimic the day to day tasks of paid employment and develop their work capacities. Sometimes, employees aren’t yet ready to participate in a work trial and volunteering is a great way for injured employees to move towards potential work trials and one step closer to returning to paid employment. Volunteering can take on a range of opportunities in a variety of contexts including tutoring students, helping with the running of events, raising money for much needed causes and listening to someone in a time of need.

Volunteering is a great way for injured employees to support their community, improve their self-esteem, engage in meaningful activities and build their self-efficacy in preparation for a return to suitable employment.
